By simply holding the back of one’s phone within 4cm of the NFC sticker site, a link to the recording of the piece automatically appears on the screen. For iPhones, the top of the back of the phone connects to NFCs, and for Androids, the connecting point is closer to the middle of the back of the phone. Play around with how your phone connects to the NFC tag. All tags have been tested and are guaranteed to work.

The NFC sticker can be placed anywhere on the back of the artwork that would be most accessible to your phone and easy to remember once the art is framed. Additional NFC stickers can be purchased to place in all corners of the artwork.
-
NFCs work by electromagnetic induction so they can’t connect to your phone when stuck directly to metal surfaces. This shouldn’t be a problem with most frames. Experiment with placement and the ease of connection to your phone before applying the sticker.

NFCs can only connect to a phone within a 4cm distance. Keep this in mind when choosing where to place the sticker, especially if using a thick picture frame or a shadowbox frame. Alternatively, the NFC stickers could be placed directly onto the wall adjacent to the artwork or on the side of a thicker shadowbox frame.
